Torvosaurus is a genus of large theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period. The name Torvosaurus means "savage lizard". Fossilized remains of Torvosaurus have been found in North America and Portugal. Torvosaurus reached 30 to 36 feet (9 to 11 meters) in length and an estimated weight of about 2.2 tons (2 tonnes), which made it one of the largest carnivores of its time.
Our high quality cast replica is made from an original Tovosaurus sp. tooth discovered at the Waugh Dinosaur Quarry in Wyoming.
