Trionyx sp. Skeleton on Slab - Solid Color Replica
It's genus lived during the Cretaceous, but survived the KT extinction, and still exists today! Currently, the Trionyx shells never grow much larger than 20 inches (51 cm), but during the Eocene, they reached as much as twice that size!
All fossil Trionyx are quite rare, but they are extremely rare from the Green River Formation.
Our Trionyx replica has an excellent skull, carapace, and feet. This is a replica of one of only a handful of good specimens in existence.
